Felt Bicycles Cruiser Recall

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Felt Bicycles has voluntarily issued a safety recall on its Deep Six and El Guapo cruiser bicycles with coaster brakes.

The recall issue
Approximately 200 bicycles have been recalled because the brakes can fail, posing a crash hazard to riders. The recalled Felt cruisers were sold at authorized Felt dealers between June 2014 and March 2015 for between $600 and $750.

There have been 26 reported incidents. No injuries have been reported.

How to identify if you have the recalled bicycle
The models recalled have "Felt," as well as either "Deep Six" or "El Guapo" printed on the bicycle's frame. The Deep Six was sold in Black Cherry with White tires, while the El Guapo was sold in Matte Black with Whitewall tires.
